Hey, I was just wondering if there were any special requirements to get into KoL University. Like, level, or reputation? |

What is the purpose of KoL U? I see it listed as a visible board on here, but I don't have access. (I'm of the opinion such boards be listed as Private [Hidden], since I can't access it why should I see it?) From the discussion in this thread, it seems as if it is some kind of method for learning about KoL. It also seems as if you pretty much already need to know quite a bit about KoL to even get in. As I don't understand the purpose, the whole thing doesn't seem very useful. If it's a way to learn more, but you already have to have learned quite a bit to get in, what do you gain by getting into it? |

There's a lot of people who could probably explain it better, but here's my stab at it. KoL University is a clan. Basically, we go grab some promising newbies (as opposed to n00bs), bring them in, give them a mentor who teaches them about the game. Mentors are matched with mentees on area of interest where possible (for example, they wouldn't give me, a social guru, to someone who wanted to learn about bots). The mentors are not solely from W23 and Loading Dock, they're members of several different prominant clans who're looking for a way to help out the new kids. |

In theory (as the theory was described to me, at least), KoLU "graduates" will find themselves invited to join the finest clans in the Kingdom, and will be able to help shape the future of the game. Of course, as always happens, the University is acquiring its own life and its own personality as a clan. |

So, since I'm level 24, and have been playing KoL since June, KoLU isn't for me? |
