I just found this on Clive Thompson's tech ... it's a timepiece that doesn't tell the hours and minutes, but notes the passage of time on three intervals through the interactions of sine waves. Sounds beautiful and it beats white noise for reading.

Woah, cool. I'd heard of this, especially the art piece, but hadn't listened to it yet. I was expecting something less ambient, but this really works. I don't think I could actually tell time by it very well, but it might work to get a feel for what time it is.

I haven't been able to tell the exact passage of time, but one definitely does get the sense of it. Sooooooooo relaxing.
