It's the annual King William's College quiz - and from what I can see from looking it over, I only know a handful of answers. :( Gosh, and I thought I knew trivia.

It's teddibly English. :P

The handful that I can do without Googling:
1.5 Anton Chekov
8.1 William Tell
8.4 ? (Note: Absit Oman is a tongue-in-cheek History of England featured in the pages of Punch)
8.5 Rainbow Warrior
10.6 Albert Einstein
11.3 The great fire of Rome
11.10 The Great Chicago Fire
12.9 Roger Bannister
13.6 Schooner
14.4 Pepper (I think) Reasoning: parliamentary - pepper with invective, paternal - peppered with wisdom
14.10 The SA (Stormtroopers of the Nazi party, purged in the Night of the Long Knives.)
15.1 (open-ended question) A country, state of the USA ?
15.5 The candy-striped barberpole?
15.10 Sir Pelham "Plum" Warner (Surprising that someone who loathes Cricket should know this. But forgivable, since he shares a nickname with P.G. Wodehouse. :P)
17.2 Edward Fox
17.5 "Look Before You Leap"

You should take a look at the Wikipedia's WikiFun pages, the totally Indian Quizbusters on LiveJournal and Quiznet on Yahoo! Groups.

P.S. I have no idea why Quiznet is in the age-restricted section of Yahoo! Groups. :?: Too hard for the under 18s? :P
