EIITE ONES

Nearly everyone who will read this entry knows the Elite Ones only through their near-constant reign at or near the top of the clan power leaderboards. Both long before and long after the 5-member requirement to be on this list was instated, Elite Ones, sat quietly and firmly in its top 5, lording silently over the masses below. They remained an enigma, a source of mystery, and of respect. Their history was unknown; they had almost no in-game presence at all (and hadn’t, since about May of 2004). Much of that history is still shrouded, and this entry can provide only bits and pieces of the story of “those crazy Croatians”.

Eiite Ones (It should be noted that the true name of the clan is EIite ones, with two I’s) was founded by LightningOne, probably in May or June of 2003. By June or July, LightningOne had picked CrazySpawn to replace him as clan leader. CrazySpawn built the clan back up from scratch after LightningOne’s departure, and had semi-open enrollment for new players; as he once said, “Our primary goal is to train newbies to make them worthy players.” Elite Ones became fairly active in clan warfare at certain times, and at one point allied with CGC Elite against the members of Hatred.

On October 18, 2003 (a time when Elite Ones were one of the clan power leaders), CrazySpawn was hacked, and his account was deleted; the clan was dissolved, and many members took shelter in Boys of Loathing. The account and clan were reformed by October 23, and it was around this time that CrazySpawn handed off leadership to Chufta. Chufta carried on in much the same way as CrazySpawn, leading the clan for several months.

While Elite Ones did not form around its members’ mutual Croatianity, it did end up growing that way. Nearly all of its current members are Croatian and high level, and this is primarily the result of changes instituted by Shecky. Shecky was given the position of clan leader after Chufta, and kicked out most of the inactive members. The remaining 15 or so were all power players; since some were shell accounts played by Chufta and others did not talk in chat or the forums, their presence in the Kingdom waned, aside from the viselike grip that they held, and hold to this day, on the clan powerboards. They topped the boards for about a month after the 5-member rule was put into place; Warehouse23 was the first clan to outdo them, in mid-December 2004.

Major Members:

-LightningOne (#1790) – LightningOne was the founder and original leader of Elite Ones. Himself a Croatian, he was once the most powerful player in the game. He exploited a bug some time in 2003 before the leveling system changed; he had reached level 1857, equivalent to having a Moxie of 1857 today, which was unheard of at the time. After transferring leadership to CrazySpawn (i.e., between June and October of 2003) LightningOne looted the clan and attempted to destroy it, but was kicked out in the process. He later went on to join CGC Elite.

In June 2004, LightningOne applied to Sparkle Motion, and was accepted. When Mr. Skullhead was reminded of his checkered past regarding bug exploits, he was booted. LightningOne’s account was then disabled by Mr. Skullhead for policy violations, after he repeatedly threatened to “hack the game”. His access was restored. His account currently resides in the clan Guardians of the Night, also the home of Kabuki (#27617; former chat moderator) and Xorn (#38659).

-CrazySpawn (#1563) – Leader of the clan after LightningOne. CrazySpawn turned Elite Ones into a clan war powerhouse, and made it one of the larger clans in the game at the time. Because he was a fairly prolific forum poster (for his time), his era of Elite Ones is the most well documented. CrazySpawn was one of the 50 most powerful players whose stats were nerfed after the clan stat booster bug, and at one point he had the familiar with the most kills in the game. After his deletion and reinstation he began logging in less often, and became more or less inactive by the end of 2003; his account has been minded by Chufta for the past year. The ghost account has been on the power leaderboards for much of that time.

-Chufta (#4964) – Clan leader after CrazySpawn abdicated. Chufta was a perennial powerboard leader for much of 2004. She is the caretaker of the accounts of CrazySpawn and Cart0603, and is the reason they are still on the powerboards, despite having left the game.

-Shecky (playerid unknown/#85820) – Shecky has been the leader of the clan since early 2004. On May 27, 2004, Shecky’s account was hacked and deleted, along with the clan. After appealing to Jick, he was reinstated, and his current account was afforded his old stats. His original number is believed to be extremely low. He still plays daily, and occupies a commanding position on the power charts.

-Cart0603 (#1742) – Cart0603 was an important administrator for the clan when CrazySpawn was the leader. His is another account attended to by Chufta in his absence, which has been almost a year by now. It is curious to think that Cart0603, whose name frequented the login page’s Top 10 Players list, was a mere ghost of Kingdom past…

-SonGohan (#4680) – SonGohan broke the news of Shecky’s deletion to the forums. He was a high-level powergamer, before his recent inactivity.

-Popoman (#3696) – Popoman is English by birth; he recently moved to Croatia to be with Chufta, whom he met through KoL.

-Shuro (#4480) – longtime member.

-tRipper (#6930) – longtime member.

-Psychotic666 (#1735) – longtime member.

-zzofa (#4696) – longtime member.

-Lijeni (#4409) – longtime member.

-Alghart (playerid unknown) – former clan administrator under CrazySpawn. Little is known about Alghart.

-The King (playerid unknown) – former clan administrator under CrazySpawn.
